COST – To Clubs
Inbound Student Costs:   Cost to Hosting Club
Hosting a Rotary Youth Exchange student is considered a club project and therefore all costs to the club are project costs. They will be:
·       A monthly allowance (stated in the signed GF) and must be a minimum of $AUD150 per month
·       Dinner fees for student attendance at club meetings, student treats/gifts from time to time (birthday, farewell etc).
·       Cost of training weekends and District Conference
·       School associated fees, uniform etc.   Note: Rotary should not pay full fees but there may be particular subject fees or a standard fee for maintenance etc. Discuss and negotiate with the school/college. State schools understand this. However, some private/Independent schools may still seek to impose fees, so the club should be aware of their budget implications.
·       If uniforms are required, schools may have a clothing pool or maybe there is a borrowing option. Clubs can choose to cover the cost of uniforms or advise parents of the approximate cost so students can bring the funds with them.
·       Note: clubs are not obligated to pay for student optional activity, but if they wish can support the student in ways that suit. Clubs may decide to pay costs for bus travel, phone sim card, etc.
Outbound Student Costs:   Cost to Sponsoring Club
·       Cost of meals for student and Family
·       Provide 6 club banners.
·       Blazer & other is optional.
