Corporate Membership

Corporate Supported Membership category actively pursues prospective members from selected businesses to help develop their senior staff and promote Rotary's objectives.

A Rotary Club recognises that current business pressures within the work environment sometimes enable membership of service organisations like Rotary more difficult. There is, however, a strong inherent desire within the business community to contribute to the broader community and to do that through the foremost community service organisation in the world – Rotary – and to be part of what the Rotary movement achieves.

We believe that Rotary is very relevant to the younger business world, and see this as a key opportunity for the developing leaders of the future to develop themselves, contribute to their employers’ contribution to community, and to mix with and develop business relationships with like-minded people.

Benefits for the Corporation:

The Club believes the following benefits are available for both Individual Members and Corporate Supported Members by providing:

  • an opportunity for a productive partnership with Rotary recognizing that senior executive members might not be able to attend Rotary meetings as often as they would wish
  • an opportunity to pursue community and social objectives
  • an opportunity for developing business leaders to meet and mix with like minded business people;
  • the potential for personal development, and the development of business skills;
  • the opportunity to obtain greater business exposure through networking;
  • the opportunity to do something worthwhile for the wider community.

Benefits for the Rotary Club

  • the introduction of a vibrant group of younger professionals, as well as senior and influential business leaders, who can help the Club achieve its objectives;
  • the opportunity for these members to become Rotary leaders at both Club and District level;
  • the opportunity to build an on-going relationship with each participating business, which will help to provide an on-going flow of appropriate Rotary members from each business (again subject to satisfying normal membership criteria);
  • the opportunity to foster wider public knowledge and support of Rotary's activities and objectives
